Radka Stupková
IPR attaché, Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union, BE

Radka is an intellectual property and company law attaché at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union in Brussels.
She has started her career at the Industrial Property Office after completing her law studies at the Charles University, Prague. She held different positions at the Industrial Property Office, as Head of the Trade Mark registration Unit, and before that, as Head of Law Unit. She participated in legislative works on industrial property acts at national and European level. The second Presidency of the Czech Republic gave her the opportunity to have a closer look at EU legislative procedures when chairing the Working Party on Intellectual Property of the Council of the European Union. This body successfully finalised all preparatory work for the Competitiveness Council where Ministers unanimously adopted a Council position on the European Commission draft regulation on geographical indication protection for craft and industrial products in December 2022.
She gained experience in EU trade mark registration and intellectual property offices’ cooperation projects during her secondment to the European Union Intellectual Property Office as a national expert.
She is also a regular lecturer in industrial property.
