ECTA ®ETREAT 'Trade Marks: Case Law of the EUIPO Boards of Appeal and German Courts'
ECTA ®ETREAT was successfully held at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) Forum in Munich, Germany, on 6 March 2019.
Opening speeches were given by Ms. Barbara Preißner, Head of the Trade Marks and Designs Department of the DPMA and ECTA President, Sozos-Christos Theodoulou. Marie-Christine Seiler, Vice-Chair of ECTA Harmonization Committee, moderated a panel of two speakers, Mr. Christoph Bartos, member of the Boards of Appeal of the EUIPO and Mr. Lars Meinhardt, judge at the Higher Regional Court of Munich.
Mr. Christoph Bartos gave a presentation on the Case Law of the EUIPO Boards of Appeal in English. Our second guest, Mr. Lars Meinhardt, spoke about Case Law of the German Courts. The language of this presentation was German.
Around 160 participants took part in the event which was a big success.
