We inform ECTA members that the European Union Intellectual Property Network published the List of Terms Used in the Digital Environment on its website.

According to EUIPN, the List aims to support a more consistent understanding of terminology used in the fast-evolving digital landscape. It is intended as a support tool and knowledge repository for trade mark examiners and applicants across the EU.

The List is not exhaustive and is not binding, it is provided for information purposes only. Therefore, any of the terms included in this list may or may not be subject to objections on a case-by-case basis, regardless of their presence in the list.

The List will be subject to periodic review.
