EUIPO Issues Call for Expression of Interest for List of Vendors to Provide Expertise in IPRs

We inform our ECTA members that the EUIPO issued a call for expression of interest to compile a list of vendors providing independent and on-hand expertise on specialised services in the field of IPRs. This list aims to assist the EUIPO, particularly the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, and the International Cooperation Service - which is a service within the Institutional and Cooperation Department to foster IP cooperation in both EU and non-EU countries. The approved list of vendors will remain valid for four years, starting from its publication in the Official Journal of the EU on 18 April 2024, and may be used at the EUIPO’s discretion throughout this period. The call covers various sub-lists on the following IP areas: 1. trade marks 2. designs 3. geographical indications 4. plant varieties 5. copyrights 6. other IP rights and related areas 7. enforcement 8. appellation 9. litigation and mediation 10. IP in education 11. economic studies 12. IP support to businesses and innovation 13. promotion of IP There are no limitations on the number of sub-lists a vendor may apply for, allowing applicants to select one or more sub-lists based on their expertise.
