On 20 November 2019 the Management Board of the Office approved the new Strategic Plan 2025 (SP2025) of the EUIPO. The Plan will begin to be implemented on 1 July 2020 and it aims at 1. developing an interconnected, efficient and reliable IP System for the Internal Market, 2. focusing on more customer-centric services and 3. moving the Office towards a more innovative workplace while developing the organisational skillsets required to do so.

In order to implement the Plan, the EUIPO will launch new projects to be rolled out through the Office’s subsequent Annual Work Programme. A new set of European Cooperation Projects (ECPs) have also been approved to run alongside the SP2025.

ECTA participated actively and provided input to the consultations concerning the SP2025 during the course of this year. In addition, ECTA is closely involved in many ECPs and is able to give valuable users’ perspective via its representatives in these projects. You can consult the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2025 HERE.

The EUIPO Annual Work Programme 2020 and the Budget were approved on 21 November 2019.
