Today WIPO unveiled the
Madrid Application Assistant, the latest online improvement to the Madrid Registry, which will enhance the creation and management of trade mark rights under the Madrid System.
This new service is meant to
make the international application process more efficient and accurate, as well as reduce the user effort and the risk of irregularities.
Users will be helped to generate high-quality application files in an intuitive and linear manner: the Assistant will import all the relevant data for a Madrid International Application from the trade marks database of IP Offices of origin, will verify the classification of the list of goods and services and provide its translation automatically.
Once completed, the international application will be made available in a PDF format, in order to be submitted to the IP Office of origin for certification.
The Madrid Application Assistant is derived from
Madrid e-Filing, the WIPO online filing solution for Madrid Member IP Offices. For more information please visit the
WIPO Website.
