F. Peter Müller

F. Peter Müller is a German and European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney. He studied Law for Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys at the University of Hagen, Germany and Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich and the Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden.

He was educated at the German Patent- and Trademark Office, at the German Federal Patent Court in Munich, at the District Court of Düsseldorf, the intellectual property law firm Hopgood Calimafde Kalil & Judlowe in New York and the IP law firm Müller Schupfner & Partner in Munich.

He achieved the master degree in electrical engineering and passed the Examination of Law for Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys in Germany, the German Patent Attorneys Examination and the European Qualifying Examination. Peter has also studied Mediation for one year at the University of Hagen.

Peter is a managing partner of the intellectual property law firm Müller Schupfner & Partner in Munich / Hamburg and used to be a Special Adviser to the EUIPO as a member of the European Cooperation External Advisory Board (ECEAB). He is Past President of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA, Brussels) and was a Member of the Standards Commission of the International Mediation Institute (IMI, The Hague). He is currently a member of several committees of ECTA and INTA and a Member of the Mediators Network of INTA, a member of the panel of neutrals of WIPO and CPR and an IMI certified mediator. Peter is also Chairman of the Mediation Association of German Patent and Trademark Attorneys (MAP, Munich) and is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association (INTA, New York).

Peter represents clients in all IP matters and has been specializing in trademark and patent prosecution and litigation. He is also a motorcyclist, flies airplanes, likes snowboarding and hiking and loves the opera and theatre.
