Femke Van Horen
Professor of Consumer Behavior and Marketing, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, NL

Femke van Horen is Professor of Consumer Behavior and Marketing at the Marketing Department of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She obtained her PhD at Tilburg University on the effectiveness of product imitations. She published on the topic of product imitation in the top journals of her field, such as Science Advances, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, and International Journal of Research in Marketing and has received several prices for her work. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Cologne and at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and regularly presents her insights at trademark law conferences, such as the BMM conference, the Marques Conference on Intellectual Property, and the European Judges Conference. In addition, she acts as an expert for several intellectual property firms.
