Guillermo Mier y Concha works as Brand Enforcement Manager on the Europe team of Red Bull’s IP Department since 2019. As part of his responsibilities, Guillermo is in charge of handling opposition, cancellation and infringement actions in different jurisdictions in Europe with the purpose of implementing Red Bull’s brand enforcement strategies on a successful manner. Additionally, Guillermo provides legal support and counsel to different business units on a wide range of agreements where an authorization to use Red Bull’s brands is given, focusing mostly on license and sponsorship agreements. Finally, as part of his activities within Red Bull, Guillermo has also been in charge of domain names and social media topics where an infringement or unauthorized use of Red Bull’s marks has occurred.

Prior to working at Red Bull, Guillermo studied a Masters in Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management at the University of Maastricht (Netherlands), complementing the law degree he obtained at Universidad Panamericana in Mexico. As previous working experience, Guillermo worked in two of the most prestigious IP law firms in Mexico for almost 7 years focusing his practice mostly on litigation of all types of IPRs, including trademark oppositions, cancellations and infringements.
