Karel Šindelka is one of the co-founding partners of the IP boutique law firm Šindelka & Lachmannova, with offices in Prague, Czech Republic.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, where he obtained a degree in law in 1998. He qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2001. Before opening his own law firm Karel was for 17 years an associate and, later, a partner in another IP law firm based in Prague, Czech Republic.

In his practice Karel focuses on IP enforcement in particular trade marks, designs, patents and copyrights and unfair competition law. Within his law firm Karel manages anti-counterfeiting activities of major world fashion brands in the Czech Republic and is responsible for Internet-related issues including domain name matters.

Karel is a panellist of the Czech Arbitration Court (‘CAC’) for domain names and has lectured at various IP seminars in the Czech Republic and in the EU. He is a member of ECTA (from 2007) and of ECTA Supervisory Board and Internet Committee.
