With over 30 years of experience in intellectual property and serving as Managing Partner of Dumont since 2008, Laura Collada has established herself as a leading strategist, overseeing the firm’s most complex and high-profile cases. She is also a respected professor at several law schools.
She is a three-time recipient of the Best IP Lawyers in Latin America award from Euromoney’s Americas Women in Business Law. Laura combines strategic advisory with litigation and has authored articles for national and international publications on topics such as cultural appropriation, the impact of COVID-19, the Metaverse, NFTs, and diversity in the IP industry.
Laura contributed as an expert to the drafting of amendments to Mexico’s Industrial Property Law, including the initiative and explanatory statement that were ultimately approved. She serves as a Council Member of MARQUES, chairs AIPPI’s Standing Committee on Geographical Indications, and is actively involved in initiatives such as INTA’s Women’s LeadershIP and the INTA Foundation Board. She also participates in leading professional associations worldwide (ASIPI, AIPLA, ECTA, PTMG) and previously served as International Vice-President of AMPPI.
