Born 1967; graduated in law from the University of Coimbra (1991); postgraduate studies in intellectual property law at the University of Lisbon (2001); trainee lawyer (1991-92); Judicial Trainee (1992-95); Judge at courts of first instance (1995-97); Judge at the Commercial Court, Lisbon (1999-16); Judge at the Court of Appeal, Coimbra (2016); taught law at a number of Portuguese universities and at the Centre for Judicial Studies; Secretary-General (2012-15), then President (2015-16), of the Association of Portuguese Judges; Judge at the General Court since 19 September 2016.
