Peter Johannes Klein

Peter Johannes Klein has been admitted as a German attorney since 2014. Mr. Klein is specialized in trademark, design, competition, food and Internet law and strengthens the team of lawyers of VOSSIUS since 2017.

Mr. Klein has a great deal of experience in litigation and has also successfully litigated many authoritative infringement cases in court in recent years, most of them in trademark, copyright and unfair competition law. This success is based not only on his argumentative strength and personal assertiveness in written disputes as well as in oral negotiations, but also on the fact that he always strives to present complex processes in legal disputes in a simple and understandable manner.

Alongside to German clients, he also advises numerous international clients in various cross-border matters and represents them in proceedings before German and European authorities.

Mr. Klein studied law in Düsseldorf and gained expertise in his current focus areas during his studies working with the trademark department of a well-reputed German retail company. He continued to strengthen his focus on IP law by working for an international law firm as well as by traineeships with Special Chamber for Competition and Copyright Law of the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, with the German Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in Jakarta/Indonesia and with the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York City.

He regularly publishes articles in specialist journals for trademark law and related topics and, as a member of the media and specialist journalist in the field of law, actively reports on new decisions and new legislation in the field of intellectual property. He is also a member of the German Association für the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR) and the ECTA.
