Péter Lukácsi is a partner at SBGK Attorneys at Law and Patent Attorneys, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019.
Mr Lukácsi’s main area of practice covers advising, prosecution and litigation in various fields of IP law (trade marks, copyrights, patents and designs) and advising and litigation in the field of unfair competition law. He also has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting distribution and franchising agreements.
Mr Lukácsi is currently the chair of ECTA’s Professional Affairs Committee and a member of ECTA's Council. In 2018, Mr. Lukacsi was elected to be vice president of trade mark, competition law and designs in the Hungarian Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright. In 2017, Mr Lukácsi has been elected to the Council of the Hungarian Trade mark Association. He is also a member of the Hungarian Council of Copyright Experts and a member of the Council of Industrial Property Experts.
Mr Lukácsi is a regular speaker at IP law conferences and he is the author of several publications within the field of IP law.
Mr Lukácsi is co-editor and author of the first Commentary of the Hungarian Trade Mark Act, which was published in 2014 by the prominent publisher HVGOrac, a member of the LexisNexis group. He is also the author of the Hungarian chapter of the Heidelberger Commentary on Trade Mark Law.
In 2018 he was awarded a PhD at Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences Faculty of Law. He regularly teaches IP law at the prestigious Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Law in Budapest. He was also a lecturer at the EUIPO Trade Mark and Design Education Programme.
