Rogier Goos
Vice-Chair of the ECTA Design Committee, Winger Trademarks BV, BE

Rogier has extensive experience in managing all aspects of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property work. He provides strategic advice in the field of the protection, defense and exploitation of trademarks, designs and copyrights. He manages since more than 15 years trademark and design portfolios of small and international active companies in various sectors, including the worldwide management of the IP portfolio of a Fortune Global 500 company. He further frequently takes care of the IP part of a due diligence and is regularly designated court expert in counterfeit cases.

He’s vice-chair of the Design Committee at ECTA since 2020.

In 2022, he was granted the Wim Mak Award by the Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law for his article 'Evidence of disclosure of a design'.

Rogier Goos studied Law at the University of Ghent and completed a master ‘Droit communautaire’ at the Sorbonne, Paris. Simultaneously with his job as legal advisor in the newspaper publishing sector he finalised a master in Intellectual Property at the Catholic University Brussels (KUB) in 2003.

He works both in Dutch, French and English and is appreciated by his clients for his no-nonsense approach with an eye for immediately applicable practical advice.
