Head of Trade Marks, Johnson Controls, CH

Sebastien is the Head of Trademarks at Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. Together with his team based in Switzerland and the US, Sebastien manages and defends the global Trademark assets of the company. Prior to his current role, he was leading the Trademark team at Abbott Pharmaceuticals in Basel and before that, he worked during 11 years for Nestlé, managing the Trademark portfolio of various business units of the Group, first at the Swiss Headquarters, then as Regional IP Adviser for Spain and Portugal and finally for Wyeth Nutrition in New Jersey, USA. Sebastien holds a Law Degree from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and a LL.M. in IP Law from the CEIPI Strasbourg and the University of Dresden. He is a regular lecturer on Trademark Management at the CEIPI and at the French Attorney Training School (EFB Paris) and frequently speaks on IP Management and Brand Protection at Industry events.
