Sozos-Christos Theodoulou
ECTA Past President, The Law Offices of Dr. Christos A. Theodoulou LLC, CY

Sozos-Christos Theodoulou, MLaw, D.E.A., Past ECTA President, was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1978. In 2002, he obtained his maîtrise en droit (Master in Law) from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. A year later, he was admitted at the Cyprus Bar and, in the following summer, he was a UNITAR scholar at the well-known Hague Academy of International Law. In 2004, he became the first student to obtain in only one year his D.E.A. in International Relations from the prestigious Graduate Institute of International Studies of Geneva. He is also holder of the WIPO Academy Certificate in Intellectual Property and of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Higher Diploma in Public Relations (with credit).
Nowadays, a practicing lawyer by profession at the Law Offices of Dr. Christos A. Theodoulou LLC and the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association, Mr. Theodoulou is a member and/or regular attendee of the meetings of all major associations in intellectual property law. He participates in several committees of these associations and contributes actively in a number of them. His legal practice includes, inter alia, trade mark filing and prosecution, handling of patent and industrial design cases, expert advice to foreign clients, preparation of arbitration decisions on domain name disputes (UDRP/ADR) as Panelist of the Czech Arbitration Court and of FORUM (U.S.A.), anti-counterfeiting activities, various other IP matters (including geographical indications) and litigation. His firm handles a variety of General Law matters, as well.
Mr. Theodoulou is the writer of many articles and studies in various scientific magazines and newspapers, and a speaker in a multitude of International and local conferences. He also has extensive participation in social life.
Since 2013 he is an Associate Lecturer at the Law School of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus and was appointed as Honorary Consul of France in Larnaca, Cyprus in 2015.
