Véronique Delforge is Team Leader at the EUIPO Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, where she leads work on copyright through the recently established EUIPO Copyright Knowledge Centre.

A copyright legal expert with 20 years of experience, she has worked at both European and national level, including at the European Commission (DG CNECT) and at the Belgian Intellectual Property Office. She has also gained experience in Belgian universities and in law firms representing IT and creative industries, advising on IPR strategies. Her areas of expertise include the cumulation of IPRs, copyright infrastructures in Europe, online piracy, and the impact of new technologies on the cultural and creative sectors. She brings a cross-IP and strategic perspective to current debates shaping the EUIPO landscape.
