The 2023 EUIPO Guidelines for examination of EU trade marks and registered Community designs have been published in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German, with translations into other languages.

The Guidelines outline the EUIPO’s general instructions to be applied in the most frequent scenarios and adapted to specific cases.

Among various changes, this edition contains a new section on the Office’s approach to classification of NFTs, virtual goods and virtual services.
